Approximately three and a half months ago, my wife had her birthday. Like most women, although she enjoys her birthday, it seems like she always gets the most self-conscious around this time of the year. Since I don’t like seeing her feel down about herself, I always do as much as possible to ensure that she has an amazing birthday. What I do varies from year to year, but I have a pretty good track record of finding things to do that make her happy on her birthday.

I knew I wanted to go all out this year, so I started planning pretty far in advance. It took a lot of brainstorming, but I finally decided that I wanted to arrange a trip to Fort Lauderdale for the two of us. I have some friends who live in Fort Lauderdale, and I knew that it would be a place that my wife loved.

I surprised my wife with the trip two days before her birthday, and we headed down to Fort Lauderdale to spend the next five days relaxing and enjoying ourselves to the fullest. It made me feel so good to see how happy my wife was during her birthday.
